Chief Gary Wieczorek

Chief Gary L. Wieczorek has served in various positions in four communities and brings 35 years of experience to the City of Yukon. He is married and has five children.

Born and raised in the Chicago metro area, Cief Wieczorek obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Saint Mary's University and began his career in law enforcement in a large suburb of Chicago. He then obtained a diploma from the prestigious nine-month police administration program at Northwestern University in Chicago. Chief Wieczorek followed up with earning his Master's Degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He has taught and guest-lectured in various college programs.

Prior to joining the Yukon Police Department, he served as Director of Public Safety in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, the largest suburb of Green Bay, where he managed Police, Fire and Rescue services for a diverse community. He served 5 years as the Village Administrator in Chenequa, Wisconsin, which is located outside of Milwaukee. Chief Wieczorek retired as Deputy Chief from Lake Forest Police Department in Illinois after 21 years of service and also worked as a part-time Firefighter and Paramedic in Libertyville, Illinois for 20 years.

Chief Wieczorek is looking forward to the challenges of growth in Yukon and the development of the Yukon Police Department as it grows with the community.

Deputy Chief John Corn

Deputy Chief Corn is a resident of the City of Yukon, and has lived in the community since 1970 and began work with the Yukon Police Department in 1989 and currently holds the position of Deputy Chief. Deputy Chief Corn is a member of the Oklahoma Association Chiefs of Police, International Association of Chiefs of Police, a graduate of the 187th session of the FBI National Academy as well as a Canadian County Leadership graduate and a Certified Oklahoma firearms instructor. Deputy Chief Corn has an Associates Degree of Science in Police Sciences from Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City.
